    Cosol Tour...Definitely Yes!

We were in St. Lucia on December 13th and had booked Cosol's tour. It was even better that we expected! Several ships were in port that day so Cosol wasn't our driver but we had Baptiste who was great (Cosol did make it a point at one of the stops to greet us). There were 12 of us from our ship in an air conditioned van, our driver was easy to find and we were on our way by 8:45. It was a very comprehensive tour and it would take a couple of pages to tell you all about it but some of the highlights were the Toraille Waterfall and Botanical Gardens (the poinsettia trees were gorgeous), the drive-in volcano where a park service guide met us and gave us a talk about it, and the stop at Jalousie Beach which is a private beach between the two Pitons. Usually there's an hour or so to swim or snorkel but we didn't have time because our departure time had been changed from 5:30 to 2:30. Along the way we had sodas, water, beer, etc. and at one stop some absolutely delicious spiced rum.... also warm coconut cookies, hot bread and cheese, hot johnny cakes and fish cakes, and various fruits. Back on board we spoke with several people who had taken the ship's shore excursions and they didn't see nearly as much as did. If you're going to St. Lucia I'd definitely recommend Cosol.

    Thanks Redlyn,
We are going with Cosol in a couple days and can't wait to see St. Lucia.

Thanks again for the review and I will let others know what we thought of him.

    Wink Cosol Tour Great

Day 4 St. Lucia Today we did the Cosol Tour
and were fortunate enough to have Cosol himself drive us
all through St. Lucia to all the sites. Almost the highlight of
the cruise cause he is great. He took us to bannana plantation
and waterfalls and volcano and the Pitons and a very nice
beach in between the Pitons for snorkling and swimming.
Stopped along the way for lots of Kodak moments and treated
us to the local foods and had fresh bread still hot on our way
back to the ship. Cosol is the best and glad I am not French
cause he had a bad experience with a French guy once and
he lets you know about it. LOL I got some goodies along the
way for back home and just love the bannana ketchup its
great. Should have bought more. It was about 6 hour tour
and worth every bit of the $50 and the tip I and others gave.

We did Cosol's tour in January and loved it. We had high expectations and his tour exceeded our expectations. It was a great way to see a lot of St. Lucia, without feeling rushed.

I e-mailed Cosol tours for Dec 08 and the price is now $55 pp. I was hoping to go to a different beach than is on his tour, but he didn't seem like he changes his tour. If you all say its great I guess we'll try him. I'm looking forward to the waterfall.

Has anyone had a bad experience with Cosol? My husband and I are looking into things to do on St. Lucia and we have only heard positively wonderful things regarding Cosol tours...we just want to be sure it isn't too good to be true...

Before I booked with Cosol I did my homework. I went on every blog I could find CC, Tripadv., ect and all loved Cosol. I will let you know but I still have several months to wait. If someone else goes first please come back and tell us how great it was. This is the ONLY island everyone in our whole group is taking the same tour, there is 15 of us ranging in age 17 to 75.

I'm Back, and the positive results and comments were right!!! We had a group of 18 and it was the best thing we did on our whole cruise. The ages ranged from alot of young adults 17 to 25 and then three couples of 40ish and my parents in mid-70's. We had a blast. I wish I brought the video camera besides the reg digital camera because the waterfall that we swam in was awesome. The food and beverages was too great all native stuff to the island.
