Thread: Suggestions for St. Kitts

We have a stop scheduled in St. Kitts on our Celebrity Eclipse cruise that's coming up in December. This is the one place that we are really drawing a blank when it comes to what we are going to do....I don't seem to be the only one as ppl in my roll call on the other group have said the same thing. Has anyone been there and have any suggestions? I'm thinking low key. I'm not finding a lot on the net and don't know how I feel about going to Nevis. My thought at least at the moment is that I would like this to be more of a restful sort of cruise. It seems like every vacation we go on lately has an intense schedule. I just came back from Miatas at Myrtle Beach V where every morning we were out the door by about 7:30 AM in order to make 9AM rides......so far, the only thing planned for this cruise is a tour with Bernard (which is still in the works) on St. Maarten.

Hi One of the most popular excursions on St Kitts is a ride on the Sugar Cane Express (a narrow gauge railway, formly used to transport the harvested sugar cane). Usually the cruise ship charters the entire train so if you wish to this excursion you have to use the ship's excursion programme. Independent tours of the island are polpular and usuallly involve a stop at Brimstone Fort (entry extra), the island isn't the prettiest in the Caribbean but the black volcanic sand is at least different but not unique.
