Thread: St.Kitts -- Your Opinion

Wow! You were right the post from Sunnydaze was awesome. I pored over it for more than an hour reading every detail. Thank you for steering me in the right direction. I wonder how safe bannana bay is if we stop for a swim since it has no bar or snack shack, anyone know? Do you know if you have to buy a local Drivers license if you rent a scooter? How much is a guide in the rainforest?

The island itself is gorgeous but the people trying to sell you stuff got annoying and the poverty was very depressing. It was our least favorite place that we have been.

Please tell us what you did while you were in St.Kitts. All of us would like to know so we DON'T do it!

Hey guys you need to go to the east side of the Island, some really big nice homes.

We were in St. Kitts in 2007. We booked a tour with Thenford Grey.
Tour St. Kitts with Grey's Island Excursions.

We were to have a party of 9, however 2 had to cancel due to health issues. When I informed Thenford, he emailed me "I comiserate with you. I will look forward to the Magnificent 7." That's the only time someone has used the word comiserate with me. When we got it Thenford's van, he had a poster from teh movie "Magnificent Seven" mounted on the side. It was a great tour and Thenford is an outstanding person.

What a great story! Thenford sounds like a really good "people person"!

We just took an island tour and it was pretty but the port experience itself was annoying; taxi drivers yelling at you to get in, people asking for money to take pictures of you with monkeys, things like that.

Sorry, had to laugh at this! So true!

My favorites were the locals who had monkeys wearing those small doggie diapers! Then, they'd want to know if we wanted to HOLD it for a photo while it scratched itself and picked at fleas!

Great thing happen on our first cruise back in 2007. we went to St. Kitts.
Before we went my sister-in-law was surfing the web, found this bar called the Monkey Bar in St. Kitts. She called there talked to the owner. He invited us all to his place. Right on the beach. He took care of everything for us there. Beach Chairs, Food Drinks. It was totaly awesome. Would do St. Kitts Again.
