I think the Golden Princess would be awesome to cruise on to Hawaii. It's a 14 or 15 day cruise from San Pedro or Long Beach. The only thing I didn't like was that there are no sofas in the cabins unless you do a mini-suite or above. They just have a chair with padding (nothing special). So if we are both in the cabin relaxing/watching tv one has to sit on the bed, the other on the chair. Found that to be a bit of a disadvantage. Balconies are nice, food is really good, entertainment good too.

I did a little research and this is what I came up with. As of now, and things could change, we will be in Juneau with the Mercury and Island Princess. Glacier Bay also has the Statendam scheculed on the same day we will be there. We will be in Skagway with Volendam and in Ketchikan with Sea Princess, Infinity and Radiance.

Ketchikan could be real busy. Shouldn't be a problem anywhere else.

The Golden Princess received a theater under the stars screen earlier this year in dry dock. We can make sure that Hal and Mary have the perfect set-up, two lounge chairs together, plenty of popcorn and beverage of choice.... Another thought, a balcony chair in the cabin would work as well. Kidding aside I get it. But I love the great service and food with Princess....

So where are we headed on the Golden ... to Hawaii????

We like Princess too.... like I stated, the only disadvantage was no sofa. Movies under the stairs nice ...

They should be posting info on the other ships in port soon.
We will see how close I was in my guesstimate.
