Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for hotels. We will fly in 1 or 2 days before as we have family and friends in Seattle area. Still not sure what we will do at the end of the cruise, but feel we may stay in Vancouver for a day or two and then fly home from there.
Reggie ... your group stayed at the Doubletree Artic Club Hotel in Seattle last month, what did you think of it?:
The hotel was awesome. The cookies were good too and they let us come by the desk and get more anytime.
There were 2 computers in the lobby with HI Speed internet access that was no charge, that was nice. A nice restaurant and a lobby bar that made some awesome martinis. There was a french press coffee maker in the room and after figuring out how to use it, brewed a mighty fine cup of coffee.
Reggie, how convenient was the hotel to other things in the area ... were you within walking distance of Pike Place Market, the monorail to the Seattle Center or ??? Last time we got a GREAT deal at the Westin and were literally right down town. Know that won't happen again, so am checking for other options.
Was the hotel right downtown by the shops/stores or was in the business district?

Reggie no french presses in you past. The only way to have a great cup of coffee!! Remember Seattle is the coffee capital of the world. I'm very glad you had the opportunity to experience a great cup of coffee from a press!!!

The hotel is very convenient to everything, right in the heart of downtown. It's also in the free bus zone so you can go just about anywhere for free. Even on the weekend the busses ran every few minutes.
Hal loves a good cup of coffee. I, on the other hand, don't like it at all.
I am blessed to work for the best coffee company in the world. When I first started 10 years ago I wasn't a coffee lover either. I sure am now!!! I'll send you an e-mail to get your address and I;ll be happy to share some of my great coffee bounty with Hal!!

Debbie that is really nice of you. I just asked Hal, and he said to hold off. He hasn't been drinking coffee except for breakfast on the cruise for months now. Thank you so much for thinking of him. He really appreciated it.

You can share with me anytime. I do at least a full 12 cup pot every day and Gail does an 8 cup pot. There's never a day when you can't smell coffee in the morning around here.
