Vancouver - our cruise will end in Vancouver. Will you stay there a few days, fly home from there, take the train or the shuttle back to Seattle, take the ferry to Victoria and spend a few days OR ?????? So many choices and LOTS of time to decide.

I'm going with the flow. I wouldn't mind doing Victoria before heading back to Seattle and then home.

Right now we are planning to stay a day or two in Vancouver then fly home from there. Would love to see Stanley Park.
Frommer's Guide to Vancouver ... didn't see any maps tho:

Depending on the number in our group, it might be possible to charter a coach for a tour of Vancouver. That would also include the transfer to the hotel for those staying in Vancouver and dropoff at the train station for transportation to Seattle. We could kill several birds with one stone.
We still have time.

More things to see in Vancouver:
Granville Island Ferries
The ferries that go around the area.
Several blocks from the Sandman Suites on Davies, you can get the water taxi shown above to bring you to Granville Island.

Another person from our Mariner cruise who lives in Vancouver. Here is her recommendation for the hotel in Vancouver:
Mary, another option is the Sylvia hotel which is an older property but in a fantastic location, almost next door to Stanley Park and facing English Bay. Quite reasonable rates. The Sandman on Davie is also a good one; also the Listel on Robson, and Rosedale Suites at the other end of Robson.
I used to book visiting execs into some of these hotels, which are cheaper than the ones near the cruiseship terminal. And the BW that Carol recommended is also a good one. You could also try Priceline, people have been getting good deals on the Westin Bayshore.
Vancouver in September is great, the weather is usually warm, nothing special going on and the kids have gone back to school!

Just an update. If we have 20 people to do the tour and transfer on a chartered motorcoach, it would cost under $50 per person. We would have our luggage secured which would eliminate a big hassle as far as that's concerned.
We could actually accomodate as many as 40 people which would drop the per person cost to as low as $25 each. We would have exclusive use of the bus for up to 7 hours and could do quite a thorough tour of Vancouver in that time.
