Our cruise is scheduled to stop at Las Palmas in Nov. Is there anything you can think of that we should not miss on this island? We have a tour booked with Carnival already. Here is a link to what it includes. http://www.carnival.com/ShoreExcursionDetails.aspx?portcode=LAS&excursionn ame=Essences+of+Gran+Canaria&excursioncode=826006 We chose it mainly because of the visit to the volcano. We'll have a couple hours after the tour before the ship sets sail. I know, not much time at all. It's great to have the help of someone that used to live there.

hi i used to live on tenerife not G.C. looks like it's what you call "a taste of the island" tour . if you've never been it's a great way to see these unique places. they call G.C. a mini continent, you'll see why on this tour.

I know, in the length of time we are going to be there, that we could not see EVERYTHING, but just the tiny bit we'll get to see sounds wonderful. I'd love to stop at Tenerife, too, but I don't think that's in the near future.

they're totally different islands, with a completly different feel. g.c. is more laid back, allthough playa del ingles gets quite lively.

We will be here during our November TA on Equinox....I saw an excursion with Celebrity to a winery of all places. That is one that is on my "short" list.

Oh...and in Lanzarote...a Camel Ride and a really 'hot' Park Experience and a ride through a winery.

    They have topless beaches there.

We ended up riding the HoHo bus around. I did it twice just to make sure I took too many pictures. One of the bus stops is near a large local market which is probably interesting, but I forgot to exit the bus both times.

Here are some pictures from that:

    Can 3 HoHo Bus

    Can 4 Hoho Bus

    Can 5 HoHo Bus

    Can 6 Walking along Beach
