Thread: just back from sovereign

well we are back from a much needed vacation. Canarymoon... thanks for the memories! the trip was wonderful and the captain did a great job of steering us around Ernesto.

S.O.S. is wonderful, but the staff could really use an attitude adjustment. we only saw our steward once and then it was to beg for ice, glasses, clean towels, etc. We never got the assistant waiters name, but she was cute. brought bread and water and then disappeared. Pursers desk had a few rude staff, and we never did get our johnny rockets certificates as promised.

the food was good.. not over the top, but good. Entertainment was great.. not your Las Vegas style, but very entertaining.chris the C.D. should have high applause.. he kept it all together. Wnhy they don't get tipped is beyond me.

We are going to Grand Turks in 161 days.. so can't wait to sail again!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

It was so nice to meet you and Jay - I had hoped to see you more during the course of the cruise, but we missed one another!

We had virtually no complaints about service -

Our cabin steward, Daniel was very attentive, and we also had good service in the dining room... George got a lot of personal attention from our head waiter! (Special diet requests)

We had no need to contact the purser's desk this time around, so I can't comment on the folks at that desk.

And we didn't make it to any of the shows, either... just rested.

Sorry to hear your experience with the crew wasn't so positive. I've always had good to exxcellent service on the Sov. Once, I did have a room attendeant that I wouldn't want to have again... mostly, they've been great, though.
