Sovereign of the Seas Sept 7, 2007

Well, we're going to be on the Sovereign once again.
    LOVE this ship!

We had a booking for November 19, but that's just too far away, so, just put in a call to change the date to September 7.

Although the November cruise was fournights, and the September one is only three, I know a three nighter is easier to fit into my schedule. Besides, there is some really GOOD pricing on this one.

    So...

Are there any other Cruise Line Fans coming along on September 7?

    Wow - that's neat.
Just changed my countdown clock to reflect the new date.

It went from 149 days down to 76 days!

Well, here we are, a little over two months away, and no one else on my roll call... YET.
I'm pretty sure there will be others on this sailing, though.

There have been some phenominal deals for this sailing over the last few days. Perhaps more will be joining this roll call as a result.

We just booked the Feb 15, 2008. We have not been on her since the refurb. I am looking forward to it. You will need to tell me all about all of her changes. Jeff and I try to go on a cruise every year at our anniversary. We married on Valentine's Day 15 years ago. Yesterday we were looking and decided to go ahead and book SOS and take the kids with us. We were able to secure two rooms side by side, not connecting though on deck 8 for very resonable. It does not bother me in the least that it has an obstructed view. When we were on the Disney Wonder the last time we had this type of room and it was well worth the money.

    Refurb news:

The Champagne bar is gone. There is a meeting room in its place.
The Library is gone. In its place - another meeting room, and the new corner for the Loyalty Ambassador.

    Bolero's is beautiful.
The new bedding is a big improvement.

The Windjammer no longer has outside seating on the bow. That is now part of the expanded inside area. The flow betrween the serving stations is improved.

There's a Johnny Rockets and a sorrento's Pizza on the upper level of the Windjammer.

They got the clock to work again.

What few books are left can be found on deck four, at the back of the seating area just outside the dining room.

The theatre looks really nice... new decor works really well.

No major changes to the Schooner. except carpet.
New carpet and seating in the Viking Crown, along with a couple of large plasma (or maybe LCD) TVs, which they tune to sporting events during the day.

There is a drop ceiling in both dining rooms, new lighting, seats, and window treatments. The seating is a bit 'closer' than before, no doubt to make room for additional tables needed as a result of turning the movie theatre eara into more cabin space.

If you have any other questions, just sing out!
