Hello to all. I will be in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, December 14th, and have arranged for a private guided all-day tour with a recommended guide at Trip Advisor, Rafael Torres.




I am a solo traveler, and Rafa's rate for a full-day is $150 U.S. This rate is good for two people, but since I am just one, the rate is the same. If there is a couple or another solo traveler out there who would like to share this full-day tour, please let me know. Rafa said he'd pick me up at around 9:00 a.m. at my hotel (the Windsor Martinique Copa). He is supposed to be with me all day, until dropping me off at the airport at about 8:00 p.m. So you can see, that is quite a long time and we should be able to see and do a lot. If the tour ends up being for 3 or 4 people, the rate is $250, to be split among everyone. Rafa said he can accomodate 4 adults in his new van.






I have had several e-mail communications with Rafa over the past couple months, and he is the most enthusiastic and friendly tour guide I have ever come across. (Cesar Dominguez in Lima is a close second, though.)




I am actually departing on my journey in under 2 weeks, and my visit to Rio will be the last stop on my 4-week journey. So I hope I can set something up with someone before November 18th. If not, that's okay. I will enjoy Rafa's full attention.
