    Cruising South America in November

Looking to cruise along the southern border of SA in November. Is this a good month to do that?

I know that there are some SA cruises in December and January so maybe November is good too. Hopefully someone's who's done this itinerary can chime in here. (was just looking at the latest Captain's Quarterly from Princess that arrived in the mail and they were highlighting the fall as a great time to go on an Aussie cruise so maybe it's the same with the southern part of SA)

We did a South American cruise in Feb -- extremely hot and humid. Many of us lost cam-corders and cameras due to the high humidity -- they all just melted!!

We went "Around The Horn" in Dec. 2007 from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso...we pretty much experienced all four seasons in a span of two weeks.

We're considering this cruise during the holiday period, perhaps in the next five years. I imagine it's like packing for both a Caribbean and an Alaskan cruise.

Yup, pretty much. You really have to be prepared for anything. It was definitely one of my favorite cruises.

Especially with some of the ships now actually going to Antarctica. It is cold down there even in the summer.
