Love the itinerary and length hanna! But hubby wants to experience the Panama Canal this time around. Thanks for the invite, maybe next time.

I know it’s pretty tough to ask the boss for time off for two (two week) cruises in a relatively short time. Marc is going to sweet talk his bosses for more time off.
I will take you up on your offer of help, could you please look at these 3 cruises and let me know what you think of them. Let me know what you think of the pros and cons.
Coral Princess March 22 Grand Panama Ft Lauderdale – LA
Celebrity Constellation March 28 Eastbound Panama San Diego – Miami
Celebrity Infinity March 28 Westbound Panama Ft Lauderdale – San Diego
I saw other Panama cruises, but wasn’t interested in leaving out of Acapulco, there is also Holland America. Any advice is appreciated as I am going back and forth, the Coral has lots of pools, more restaurant choices etc, Celebrity I have at least Select status, and I get perks where I have only sailed princess once. Thanks!

Nice to see you too! I know you two enjoy your Voyager cruises, we will bump into some day. I will stand outside next month and like

I was just thinking about something Kent said awhile back. About where did everyone go... other than Cindy popping in awhile back and updating everyone about her move and settling into the new house, what happened to SheryLL and her son? I thought they were regular cruisers and he worked in the industry? As far as I can tell, they don't use their same nicks if they are even posting. Strange, since she posted so much.

For you, especially since you will need to fly into/out of both ports, I have no thoughts on Westbound or Eastbound. I have not seen anyone claiming either is a "better" choice, like I have seen others claiming Northbound in Alaska is better than Southbound.
I do note that all the itineraries are heavy on West coast ports, whereas they only hit few in the Caribbean. I find that a little frustrating, but I suppose the trip up/down the West coast takes longer than the jog through the Caribbean, so they break it up with more ports.
Coral Princess March 22 It's no secret that I'm not a fan of Princess. We've had a few negative experiences and I'm inclined to stay away from them. Given the opportunity, I would pick another cruise line over Princess, unless absolutely necessary due to ports or itineraries that I absolutely cannot find elsewhere.
With that being said, the itinerary seems much the same as the Celebrity itineraries, except you add Aruba, which we like. But, you'll also be there in December.
In addition, I know nothing of the Coral, having always done the larger Grand-class ships (Star, Caribbean & Emerald).
So... Celebrity Constellation March 28 It appears that Constellation has a gap in her schedule for 2 weeks prior to this cruise. I would assume she'll be getting her semi-annual refurbishment, so the ship should be all fresh and sparkling for this cruise. That sucks for us in December, but I digress, and simply say that I don't stress over a ship that might be a little worn from weekly travelers.
However, seasoned travelers know that the first cruise after a refurbishment can have its problems. Things just not working right, work not quite finished, workmen still on board, venues not open yet, etc.
Not always the case, but just a thought... Celebrity Infinity March 28 Given the other options, this would be my choice. Plus, this adds Grand Cayman.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other options/thoughts/questions.

eskie, we have sailed the Panama Canal and when you book, try to get an aft cabin. It's really neat to go through the locks and have them close right there at the aft of the ship!
