Hi guys and gals. I am sorry to be so absent lately - real life just gets in the way sometimes darn it. I can't believe I've only been "back" 2 weeks - it feels like FOREVER. I told Les today our next countdown is 52 days until our annual pilgrimage to New Orleans. Now THERE'S an interesting 24 hours.

Celebrity has gone and really pissed us off. We were booked on a 12-day Mediterranean cruise on Equinox for Fall 2010. Seems they decided the "passenger satisfaction" with the ports was too low. So, they're bringing Solstice to the Caribbean earlier than planned, and they're having Equinox assume the Solstice itineraries.

Ugh!!! We were so excited as we finally found an itinerary that we liked, on a relatively new ship, and over dates that I could really make work at my office. Yeah, I know it's over a year from now, but just frustrating all the same.

It's not like they changed the inaugural on us, or anything silly like that!

Back to the drawing board!

Have you looked at Eclipse on July 24, 2010? That itinerary is quite different. We are booked on it.

Nice itinerary, Ed, but not quite what we had in mind right now.

We had committed to finally going to the Med, and found an itinerary that had just the right ports & dates. More importantly, it left out of Venice and we were going to do an Italian Lakes pre-cruise that Mindy was really excited about...

I don't know, something about going to look for George Clooney...

We'll keep your trip in mind and see what the future brings. The England departure is very attractive, though. One flight for us, and round-trip, too! Did you know we'd have to change planes twice just to get to Venice? Ugh!!!
