Back home in one piece, and already back in the office suffering PCD, so I thought I'd come say Hi to my friends. It was great meeting everyone and putting faces to names. Thank you all for making the cruise so fun.
The cruise was fantastic, the ship is beautiful, the food & service is true Celebrity. Now that we have experienced it all first hand, it will be very interesting to go and read all the previous complaints to see what the hell those people were all thinking.
I agree with Cindy, Tuscan is hands-down the best. Murano was nice & wonderful to experience, just not overly exciting. Silk Harvest was good, as well, but I would advise future cruisers not to be upset if they missed it. The main dining room was spectacular and our service the first week was exceptional. Our assistant waiter faltered a little the second week, but I took care of that...
We tried Bistro once, and after waiting an hour for something to eat, we gave up and left since dinner was in 2-1/2 hours.
First week in Aqua Class was a waste, for us. Nothing of any use for our tastes, and we bailed out of Blu within minutes of being seated. The Royal Suite was spectacular, but after seeing the Celebrity Suites, I believe those are the best value for the money on board. Have I mentioned how much we love Butler Rikki?
I would ABSOLUTELY sail Solstice again. We actually took very few pictures, but I believe those posted elsewhere by others more than adequately show the ship.
Big winners??? Did I mention Mindy won the Final Bingo Jackpot, to the tune of almost $8700? Time to go plan the next cruise! And as for the casino, I lost track, but returned home with almost what I left with. I know I spent plenty of cash between cabs, tips, pina coladas & shopping, so things went well there, too!
Kent that sounds terrific! I am so glad that y'all had such a great time. Now you need to get geared up for Voyager (though I am not sure she will be comparabale, but a cruise is a cruise ). Tell Mindi that she needs to sit next to me so I can let her luck rub off. Talk to you soon.

Wow!!! Congratulations to Mindy.
Kent, we loved the Solstice too and are looking forward to sailing on her again. At least we have her sister ship (Equinox) booked for the transatlantic next fall. I can't wait for that one. Tuscan Grill was our favorite too.
Kent, welcome home! Richer too! How cool is that?
So glad you had a good time and really hope you will post some pix???

My Almost-Fabulous XMAS Solstice Cruise, as part of the ULTRA-FABULOUS NYE "Advance Team" in
Hi CLF'ers! We are back too, unfortunately. One week was not enough.
We too thought Solstice is a wonderful ship and I will sail with Celebrity again in the future. There service and food is superior to other lines I have sailed with in the past. Sarah made a photo album today and here's a link: Picasa Web Albums - Gamplayerx - Solstice New ...
The first couple of rows don't have anything to do with the cruise but what ever... some of the pictures have videos attached so enjoy.
Kent, let us not forget your big win was quite spectacular as well!
We had a great time meeting everyone and I only wish I would have had the chance to spend more time with you all. Cindi is right, the weather was just awesome and in St Kitt's we got to see a great NYE parade - did anyone see that as well? It was a very festive day there and on the ship. The NYE party on Solstice was a lot of fun and can't say I've ever seen a party like that on a ship before.
Anyway, we had a great time and PCS is on right now.... I'm already trying to figure out what I'm going to do this summer and for next NYE cruise.
Mods & Admins, thanks for keeping the thread alive and it would have been great to have you all with us, maybe next time. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I confess we usually make a beeline to the casino after dinner but can indeed be talked into alternate venues. I do want to hit Quasar a few times - although getting Les to dance with me can take an act of Congress sometimes. Now - he'll dance with OTHER women......
Well, now we understand the beeline. Not so much for yourself, but to save the rest of us from Les...
Did you ever make Quasar? I walked in a few times, and walked right back out. Did Les ever dance? Seems he was a little busy with the tables!
