Well, Ed won't be at work tomorrow. I just heard from a Houston client that the Mayor has asked all business to close tomorrow except for emergency personnel. I've also heard from someone there that it is taking 14 hours to get out of there on the highway. It is normally 5-6 hours. UGH. I can just imagine what the evil gas stations on the highways are gouging.![]()

Ed, we're all sending you good thoughts - please be safe! No sub-par cruising here, ok?
Knowing you may lose power, we won't expect to hear from you right away, but let us know you're ok as soon as possible.
P.S. Drain the pool about 5 inches...it will help.

ooh, Cindy you sound like an expert. Give me a good old Dallas ice day over a hurricane day anytime. Most of us here KNOW we're too stupid to drive on ice so we stay home. And feel much safer. I guess the scary thing about hurricanes and earthquakes is that there is no "completely safe" place. Our emergency siren went off last year when a tornado was in our area and I found myself gathering up the dogs to sit in the bathtub. Thankfully, it missed our area. But hearing that siren was SPOOKY!
