I am a new member to CLF and an avid cruiser since age 15, MS Boheme! After years of traveling solo, which I love, it got harder to take a cruise as a solo traveler. Several years ago, most of the major cruise lines abandoned the roommate matching program. So, I started a little group and have been leading singles cruises and tours all over the world since 1995.

I have not used the services of Solo Travel Network but want to recommend Singles Travel International as another source for finding cruise companions.

The roommate matching program is free as well as to join the community which gives singles an option to see who's going on each cruise and to communicate an interest in sharing accommodations.

The biggest obstacle for solo/single travelers is to take the first step. Traveling with a group is a safety net and makes the first step much easier. There are approximately 15 cruises scheduled so the site is easy to navigate.

Let me know if you have any interest or questions. After 65+ cruises, mostly as a single, I am an expert on the subject!
