Question What are "Points" all about?

I don't remember - if I ever even knew - what are CruiseLineFans Points all about? BTW-Even though I don't know the answer to this question, I DO know that I've been working hard for awhile to get them! If I get enough, what do I see, get, win, whatever? How many is "ENOUGH"? Tell me more please!!!

Great question - CruiseLineFans points are a way to not only display your level of participation in your community here - but we're also in the development stage of turning them into digital points that you can redeem with travel partner participants, online games, and other rewards services.

We are also going to develop a series of achievements badges that will coincide with certain actions on the site and on cruise ships - incorporating points in to this system is also under development.

I love that you're been trying to get more - keep it up. There are some seriously high totals out there - take a peek at Char or Krazy Kruizers - they don't mess around.

Have a great weekend. Enjoy the holiday.

We will definitely let the member base know more about it as the details get ironed out.

Glad to see some interest in this!

While i't not exactly my thing, some people love collecting points, whether it's for a virtual status, or real prizes. If you don't like them, you can idnore them, and if you do, have at it, and have a ball with them.

That's what CruiseLineFans.com is all about - something for every cruiser.

What can I say - I'm a collector! (If you saw my house, my closet, or my cruise history, you'd know what I'm talking about) With all these things, it's not the ultimate "prizes" that matter - it's just the fun (and challenge) of seeing how many I can gather up! Some might say it's pathological - and maybe they're right!

I try to collect hat pins from all the ships but they don't always have them, so if you are thinking of badges think hatpins then we can wear them when we go on cruises and recognize other CLFers like a secret socoety.

that little phrase '....and on cruise ships' sounds intriguing , can you give us a clue ?

I also collect the pewter magnets from each ship I sail on (and a few that have been gifts from friends) and, of course, the Set Sail/FunPass/Whatever-else-they're-called-on-other-lines-cards from my cruises. Now you can see how this kind of thing can get out of hand. I LOVE IT!!!

Yeah , but you can't wear magnets on your hat so how can anybody admire your collection and spot you as a memeber of a secret society.
