Thread: Are there any special programs or activities for singles?

If not a singles cruise, will there still be activities and programs geared toward the single cruisers?

All lines have activities that anyone can join in with if they wish, if you go on specific singles cruises, then those activities will be geared towards single passengers, especially the competitions and so forth.

However, being on a non single specific cruise is a fun way to travel, you can join in with things like table tennis competitions and so forth and get to meet like minded people of all ages, both single or otherwise.

Being a single cruiser myself, I like the choices available of mixing in with the crowd or taking time for myself, by myself.

Its all up to you really

Most cruise lines will have a get-together on the first night. Check out the daily schedule of activities found in your cabin - it will list something like "Traveling solo? Meet at [blank] lounge at [blank] o'clock and introduce yourselves" ... or some such wording.

Alot of lines, like Cunard and Celebrity, have Dance Hosts - gentlemen who are available to dance with single and solo ladies, and they will introduce themselves at this event. All quite civilized, actually ...

I've got more than a half-dozen cruises under my belt so far - all solo - and it's become the preferred way to travel for me.
