Which Line Do You Find Give Singles The Best Deals?

X almost always charges 200%. I would love a balcony every once in a while, but I'm already over paying. Wouldn't even mind waiting till maybe 30 to 45 days before cruise if it meant a good deal.

Is Carnival the only cruise line who gives a bit of a break to single cruisers?

Fred Olsen have single cabins, inside, outside and on some ships balcony, and therefore they don't generally charge the huge supplements unless the single cabins have been booked, and even then the supplement isn't as severe as the other lines.

Its why I have 3 cruises booked with them and will be cruising aboard their 'new' ship, the current NCL Crown in 2008 as they are converting some of her cabins to singles too. All Olsen ships are under 50k tonnes, fully formal and very traditionally run.

They are great value for money, for example, next March, 16 days transatlantic with an upgraded seat on the flight out from UK to Jamaica, outside single cabin for £2100.

That sounds very interesting. Thanks for the tip.

I have never sailed single, but I believe Radisson (Regent) has a great singles rate. Below is from their website.

I should mention that what they call "named suites and penthouses" are out of this world nice, but equally out of this world expensive...so it's probably the DELUXE cabin most singles would book. But "Deluxe" cabins on Radisson are really really nice...even the lowest level most inexpensive ones start at 300 sq ft.

Q: What is your pricing policy for singles?

A: Standard single supplements are 100% for named suites, 75% for Penthouse suites and 30-35% for deluxe suites. Single supplements are capacity controlled and may be raised at any time. Exceptions may apply.
