compare to other cruise lines that charge 200% . its a good deal, and usually they will put you with other singles at supper time, give you a chance to meet other people.
WOW ... great rate for a single.

Actually, you're both correct. The NCF's on Princess do vary - and they vary on the same sailing. Although they should only be charging the regular NCF's, Princess chooses to charge more just to make more profit - there is no reason for them to charge more. However, just today I priced out a single on the Crown and the Inside and Oceanview cabins have the NCF's at 150%, while the Balcony cabin had the NCF's at 200%. Go figure that one.

I agree with Earl that HAL does have some good rates for singles.

Celebrity use to have some wonderful rates for singles, but have since done away with them. And that's a shame.

I don't know if this has been brought up but Carnival is now charging the NCF's at 200% for single passengers. Even on the 1A's where the cruise fare is 150%, the NCF's are at 200%. Another one that makes you go, "HUH?"

I've recently priced up a amazon cruise with both Fred Olsen and P&O,Olsen have single cabins, but it actually works out cheaper and An outside, rather than an inside cabin,to pay the supplement and go on the Artemis with P&O...Apparantly the New Queen Elizabeth IS to have single cabins when she arrives in2010...

That is one thing about Cunard, they always seem to have a few single cabins. Is it because Brits tend to be antisocial?

Yes. It makes sense for all. I always have great times with those I meet at the dinner table. However, I do not go on the lines with free style dining. I want to see the same people each meal (unless they are losers.) So, there is nothing wrong with spotting another table and moving. In the past, when I have seen one or two people dining by themselves, I have asked them to join us. More people should do that.
