    Serenade pools

    Hi all,

I'm sailing on the Serenade in May and everything looks fantastic but I'm concerned about the pools. If I'm understanding right, there are only 3 (kids, solarium and outdoor) and none look particularly big. It seems they'd get awfully crowded.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!
    Melissa

I don't remember the kids' pool, but the others aren't very big. We only had one at-sea day, and I don't remember the pools being REALLY crowded; people seemed to come and go from the 2 main ones.

I wouldn't fret about this issue.

Thanks, Michelle. I'm sure it will be fine too. I was just curious because this is our first cruise. We've done a couple of all-inclusive resorts and the pools have been gigantic and still seemed crowded at times.

I supposed if there's no room at the pool, I could always hit a bar

Just for the record, we're cruising in November, thankfully. I have no idea why I said May in my original post

Here is a picture of the main pool. You can see how small it is.

Are you cruising THIS November, as in next month?

You will love this ship and the itinerary. If you check out the photos in my signature you can see some of the great excursions we went on.

    Have fun planning!

I had forgotten about the kids' pool! (I guess I need to go back to refresh my memory.) It is up on the deck by the Seaview Cafe, which is a wonderful place to grab an afternoon snack. Here is a link to some pictures from the ship, including the kids' pool.

    Michelle,

Thanks so much for sharing those pictures. I'm really getting excited about our trip now. We leave on the 11th, so we're under 3 weeks now.

The kid's pool is nice because it has a water slide for them to play in and then a small wading pool next to that. Our kids were 11 and 9 when we went and they loved the slide. We were in Alaska so the pools weren't too crowded but it was 85 degrees most of the time. If it got cold they would allow the kids into the inside pool. Remember to bring goggles so the water doesn't bother their eyes.
