The Serenad is very much a sister of the Radiance. There are a few differences but for the most part they are minor.

I will vote as soon as I get the password

    Hi NUTZ!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

And I have to say, I'm so excited! Temps have gone from 88 at 3:53 PM (A record high, beating the old record of 84 ) to 58 at 8:53! I've opened windows and am rejoicing in finally experiencing fall. I think it will last a few more hours before we plummet into winter. I can deal with that.

    I found you guys!!

Hello NUTZ! So NUTZ3 is looking at Alaska for their next cruise. How cool would it be to have a MOS NUTZ gathering!!

Ang, I see you mentioned Corey and Kathy coming to the f2f. That will be great, nice gals.

SJ, how about you and your lovely lady? Will you be joining us too?

Dick and Laura, hope you will be on the list too.

EJ, hope you and Mary have recovered from your illness.

Amy, same with you. Hope you are better.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Yes, the Serenade would be my first choice too since the Radiance class ships are my absolut favorite!

And....what's all this talk about pickling SJ's brain? Hasn't he done that already?

Thanks, Micki. I can't really qualify as completely well, but I'm definitely better! Well enough to make it to Thanksgiving dinner, but not enough to cook anything!

The Serenade sounds good to me. It does some different things from my last Alaska cruise.

If you are doing the round trip from Vancouver either side should be fine. If we do a one way between Vancouver and Anchorage, you want to be on the side that will be facing East (starboard for Northbound and port for Southbound). I don't know about the aft cabins but I would think the same would hold true.

Having said that, we had port side cabins for our Northbound cruise on Princess (didn't book in time to get starboard balconies) and there was plenty to look at. When we were in College Fjord and Glacier Bay, the ship stopped and just kept spinning slowly so you could see everything from your balcony, no matter which side you were on.

I got my vote in for the Serenade. It is currently one vote behind the Mariner to Mexico.

That is still a lot warmer than it has been here. We are having highs in the 40's and low's below freezing. This time of year it is the trade off for not having rain and windstorms. Clear skies means cold.
