Not everyone is a senior on HAL. I did see a few passengers only in their 40's.

Well, that's true. I did see a 35-year old woman on a HAL cruise and all these old ladies were walking up to her, giving her cheeks a squeeze, and saying, "Aren't you the cutest little thing!"

We started sailing HAL when we were both in our 40's and we tend to be some of the younger people on the ship. On one cruise, our tablemates met us and said, "You're too young too be on this cruise!" and I immediately said, "but we're not too young for this itinerary!" The fact is that some of HAL's cruises go to ports that no one else goes to, and that's where we want to go! BTW, we actually saw CHILDREN on some of our cruises!

And Tony, I am no longer a senior. Sorry 'bout that.

Since in reality I am ageless and timeless, I guess I would have to answer that " in most places, except selected cruiselines".

Good point, Mindy. HAL does have some great ports. Too bad I am still mad at them.

Now that I am on other side of 75, I find myself wondering, "Who are these 55-year-old kids cluttering up my cruise?"

That said, I must admit that I would not look forward to a cruise where none of the guests are younger than 50! We "geezers" need "young studs" to keep us energized!

And the reverse is true for us, SWR. I like meeting people who have worthwhile experiences to share, and travel is a wonderful way to find people like you. I like people of all ages, but I don't want to be on a cruise where everyone is my age or younger. I'm not worried about feeling older (after all, I'm just a kid! ROFL!), but I am not ready to stop learning from others.
