Have you ever taken your grandchildren on a cruise without a parent?
If so .... How did it go? Would you do it again?

Mine is reverse. My grandparents took me without my parents and it was fun. We're going on another cruise next year, so yes, I'd do it again.![]()
Curtis! Thanks!
Your grandparents must have enjoyed having you along because they're taking you with them again!![]()

Just a reminder to look into what extra documentation you may need in such cases. In the past cruise lines require documentation from the parent authorising the adult travelling with the child to be the legal guardian for the cruise! You may not be able to board without it!

That is still the case. There is an Unaccompanied Minor Form that must be filled out and signed by the non-traveling parent (s).
It can get complicated, because if only 1 parent signs the form, you must show proof that the parent has sole custody of the child and has the authority to sign for both parents.
I will be taking my 13 y.o. and 18 y.o. grandsons later this summer, and have the form already filled out. I will let you know how the trip goes when we get back. One plus for us is that they are old enough to be in their own cabin, and they are![]()
