Just a tad. I don't feel the need to explore the ship the first day. I don't feel the need to eat all the time. I don't feel the need to see every show. But I still have the need to go.

Yes, I prefer the same class ships to feel like I am going home and know where stuff is. I want an aft corner balcont cabin, we are comfy there. No interest in shows or the busy stuff, more into relaxation
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Most people walk into and out of your life . . . but FRIENDS leave footprints in your heart
As Time Goes By .... Do you find your taste in cruising has changed?
I prefer the aft part of the ship instead of midship for a stateroom; we should all keep that a secret to keep the demand down. Port excursions are not that important unless it's someplace special like St. Petersburg, Greece, etc. I like individual performer shows over broadway type shows where it is possible to fall asleep after a long day. I enjoy the lectures if it's good; not all are. I enjoyed the water colors sessions if there are any. I want a really private balcony to get a tan, no lines if possible, partially in the shade so I can sleep in the ocean air. I waste less food at the buffet than in the dining room so I prefer the buffet. Sometimes there are tasty stew dishes that are never offered in the dining room also. I still don't care for formal nights; that hasn't changed.
Since I've only been on nine cruises (since 1994), I still think I'll keep getting that "feeling" right before the cruise. Not sure if that will ever go away.

When we first started cruising, we just wanted to be on a ship and didn't really care too much about our choice of cabin. You could also always find us at the Pool Bar and we would be pushing it, and stumbling just a little , to make it to late seating dinner.
Now that we're getting older, we prefer a better category of cabin. We'll stop by the Pool Bar, but it's not the whole day event it used to be and we want to eat at the early seating for dinner since we seem to fall asleep waiting for late!
The Norwegian Majesty currently sails from Philadelphia, it would only be a 20 minute drive to the port for us but we won't book it because even the Owner's Suite doesn't have a balcony, just a floor to ceiling bay window. It seems the older we get the fussier we're becoming.

My first 5 or 6 cruises was like I was a kid on Christmas Eve. I couldn't sleep the night before we boarded, too excited about what all I was going to see and do. Now 4 dozen cruises latter, I have pretty much seen and done it all. I still love cruies, just don't get too excited or count the days til departure anymore.

We're lucky enough to have already been to all of the "far away places" that were important to us. Now, we just cruise for the FUN of it!
Unfortunately, our FUN is going to the Caribbean and taking sailing catamaran snorkel excursions, playing on white beaches in beautiful blue water, Party Boats, etc. Not so sure at all how much longer we'll be able to enjoy these so shy away from the TA sort of thing that involve many days At Sea. Make Hay While the Sun Shines!
Our real wake-up call was on a RCCL cruise just over a year ago. We took an all day very active sailing catarman and could not help but notice we were the oldest couple by at least ten years. Also, we were very tired by the end of the day....
Always, we will look forward to cruising as long as we can manage to get to a ship and be happy just to be there. Hopefully, this will not be for the next several years ....
