Are seniors different?

Since we don't have much response her on the seniior board, I must ask this question:
Are seniors any different from cruisers of younger years?

We seem to all post on the regular forums for cruising and not a lot here.

So, what say you?

Don't be in such a hurry.

The aches and pains that come with age more than make up
for the discounts we get.

I know it will. I may have to hold off booking anything for 2009 until I see what comes up. DW will qualify us late in 2008.i

Boy, you got that right!

Our 39th High School Reunion is in a couple of weeks (those of us still in the area get together every year for a pool party). And we're all talking about the aches, pains, medication, etc. As a friend of mine said, "Growing old is NOT for the whimpy!!"

As for senior deals, some of the cruise lines are better at offering them than others. I once asked our DSM at Holland America how come they don't offer senior specials and she just laughed, saying, "That would be just about everyone of our passengers!"

Royal Caribbean and Princess have been pretty good lately.

I am a senior and I have yet to receive a senior special cruisefare. I think they offer them for "off" cruises, not those in Peak season.

But of course. It's all part of the marketing game.
You won't see coupons, resident, senior or military fares on ships that are booking ahead of predictions. You will see them when the ship is not filling up as planned.
