I hate being referred to as a senior at age 57, because I don't feel like one! Unfortunately, the spirit is willing, but often the body is weak. I still referee 8 to 10 ice hockey games a week, so I try to stay physically fit. But occasionally I'll do something that even astonishing my kids; on our recent trip to the Yukon and Alaska we stayed in Dawson. At the Downtown Hotel they have the famous Sourtoe Cocktail Club, of which I am now a member. Check it out; Sourtoe Cocktail Club I have pictures of this and forwarded them to my three children (ages 22, 24, and 28) and challenged them to top old dad. They bowed in humble reverance and declared I was the champ, acknowledging they could not beat me.
Ah yes, we may not be as nimble and quick, but we are wise and knowledgeable, and sometimes a little weird!
