Long time!

It sure has been a long time since anyone posted on this topic!
Does that mean that there aren't many seniors on CLF?
Or that they don't wan't to admit that they are seniors?
Or that they forgot that this topic was here? (ya know, being seniors and all)
Or that they already know everything?

Hi Char.

I didn't know this topic existed. I was cruising through the "New Posts" and saw this one.

I certainly don't mind admitting I'm a senior.

Hi, I am an addicted cruising senior, at least that is what my age says!!

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Question

Add two more seniors to the mix! We wonder what is the proper age is to be considered a senior? Around here in the restaurants it's 55 in some and 60 in others.
Once we joined AARP, about 10 years ago, we considered ourselves seniors.

Just checking in as newbies, I am 61, though I feel more like a spring chicken inside than an old hen. My husband will be 68 in a couple of weeks. We have never been on a cruise and if there is a senior rate please don't tell us as we definitely didn't get one when we booked!

Senior rates are not offered on every sailing.....so don't be worried. But you can keep checking your fare and if a senior rate is offered later your travel agent should be able to get it for you.

You have a wonderful itinerary! Are you spending any time in Sydney afterwards?

No, sadly we're not. We're going to be away from home for nearly 6 weeks as it is, and as we've been to Sydney several times before we thought we could give it a miss this time. So we're hopping more or less straight off the ship on to the plane!

We have a day in Seattle before the cruise begins though - we are anticipating rain. And we are very much hoping we will be able to land at Raratonga as we got married there in 2003!
