Yeah, I really understood that. But I couldn't resist the opportunity. But to ask what seniors need (or want) is to imply that "seniors" is somehow a monolithic, homogenous group, and nothing could be farther from the truth. Speaking for myself and for many other "seniors" I have observed on cruises, I would say that, maybe, seniors want to come home from a cruise relaxed and refreshed, and not "wasted" in the fashion that some of the younger cruisers seem to follow.
Or ignore the last piece of chicken in the pan!! UGH
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Most people walk into and out of your life . . . but FRIENDS leave footprints in your heart
How about MONEY? I'd cruise more often if I had more money. One way to make that happen would be for governments to lower, or eliminate income tax for those 65 and over, or under a certain income when retired.
Are you kidding, they really won't be able to pay for the war if they did that, did you forgot Georgie cut your taxes for you?????? and the debt is how much now??? :thumbsdow May I suggest you play the lottery, (never mind you stand a better chance of getting hit by lightening?) You never know, you might just get very, very lucky.

As befitting my elderly years, I think I should hve the FIRST piece of chicken in the pot.
When I was a kid, at family dinners, kids were always served last, just before the women. The men got all the best pieces, although I suspect some of the women slipped out a few of the goodies while cooking.

About as likley as pigs flying here in the US. About the same up there in the Great White North.
The funny thing is, we are retiring early from teaching so we can spend more time with our sidelines and travel. By reducing our income, our tax bracket has changed so drastically (as well as not funding some investments) that our available income has changed little.
We paid more in income taxes this year than our son, the airline pilot, made in his first year

That's just plain scary. Governments just keep going back to the same old well, even if the water is drying up. My concern is that bureaucrats actually run the countries. They design the policy, and our elected reps, most of whom are so well off they can't identify with the average citizen, stamp it OK.
