I joined AARP for the discounts a few days before my 50th birthday. I let the membership lapse last year because of my objections to their political agenda. I claim every possible senior discount and (this may be a comment on my appearance) I usually don't have to show any identification. I do most of my "organized" travel with senior groups. I guess since our "disorganized" travel is mostly with my First Mate and another couple just slightly older than us, it's with a "senior group" also. But the real question was "how old?" You're a senior citizen when you stop lying about your age, and start bragging about it.
When a man was celebrating his 100th birthday, his son asked, "Pop. What's the best thing about being 100?" The answer was, "No peer pressure."
