Don't know why I haven't posted in this thread before.

At 75 (my 83-year old brother sometimes calls me, "Kid"), I am beginning to consider myself senior. But, I avoid the really early eating times at local restaurants, mostly because everyone there is well over 80!

I let my travel agent get me the best deal, whether it be because of my Great Age, my past-crusier status, or just because I'm friendly!

My favorite cruise line is Holland America. Does that tell you something?

Still alive here, time is ticking away waiting for someone to cruise with. Last night I booked a 5 nighter on Carnival Ecstasy (coming to Canaveral the 1st week of Nov). Can't wait. Then a possible one in Dec on Epic for seniors over 60! I guess that means bye bye working, hello, some freedom. I know it will be a difficult transition to retirement pay, vs having a paycheck, but the time has come. Need to do things while I can.

    I agree completely

P.S. If you are ever looking for people to cruise with, try volunteering for the local historical society or something. The thing is to get active in some local groups.

I recently went to a tea that my friend invited me to for a historical house and it was mostly all women in their 60's or so. Good luck in finding someone to cruise with!

P.S. What part of FL are you from?

If you were sailing out of Galveston on Ecstasy Id offer to split the fare and go with you.

I used to live in Boca, but moved to TX to help out my parents and quit my job. I am almost always the youngest person at any senior function .. one day I will catch up. There was one lady more than 40 years my senior .. now thats a senior. My parents are seniors. I do like that you can get the senior rate on cruiseships at 55. I wish airlines would match that!!

Getting involved in something is part of my goal. Right now I eat, work, sleep. Too pooped to do much more.
Live on east Florida coast area near Disney, closest port is Canaveral, about 1 hour away. Tampa is less than 2 hours away.Sometimes I put on the Canaveral webcam and see ships come and go.(now isn't that exciting?)
