Link Light Rail now connect from Seatac to Downtown Seattle

Now that you can now take light rail from Seatac airport to downtown Seattle there are some things you should know about it.

From the baggage claim area to the rail terminal is about a 1/4 mile walk, about the length of a football field.

The fair is $2.50 per person. Purchase your tickets at the vending machine, it will take VISA, MC, or cash.

More information on the system is available at:
    Sound Transit: Fares & Passes

The portion from the airport to downtown is call the Central Link

Wow...this is a great improvement to the overall transportation system in Seattle and the Pacific NW, as a result.

( I hated having to spend $40 on a cab ride home every time I took a flight. )

Have you taken a ride yet, Blizzard?

If going to Pier 66, it should take 35 minutes on the Light Rail to University Street Station and then you would have up to 25 minutes walk to the port: Public Transportation to Seattle cruise port

    Olivier ,

What a great site you have been putting together. Feel free to include it in our Member Showcase area. I know a ton of our members could get some good use of of all those directions to the cruise ports. Great idea!

I have not rode the light rail yet. I live in the north end of the city at it will be several years before it extends out here.

We do plan on giving it a try getting to or from the airport when we have a flight time that gives us plenty of time to try it out. From our house we will have to take a regular bus downtown and then transfer to the light rail.
