Port OKs move of cruise ships to Magnolia
$118 million deal will expand cargo business

The Port of Seattle Commission gave its final approval Friday for a $118 million project that will move the port's cruise operations to Terminal 91 in Magnolia and make room for expanded container cargo operations at Terminal 30.

The move is more to expand container opperations than to help the cruise lines.
We will end up with a better cruise terminal in a not as good location. It is farther away from the airport and downtown hotels.

The move will be done for the 2008 summer season.
