Update on Flight Cancellations Due to Volcanic Eruption
12:00 pm PST

The airspace over the UK and much of Northern Europe remains closed due to volcanic ash clouds caused by a volcanic eruption in Iceland, and we understand the air space may be closed for a considerable time.
The National Air Traffic Services (NATS), the UK air traffic control body, is providing regular updates, and these can be accessed at the below link:

We know with certainty that flights for many of our UK passengers have been cancelled. The main impact is on the charter flights into and out of Barbados for UK passengers disembarking or embarking Sea Princess Saturday, April 17.
Our current plan is for Sea Princess to sail from Barbados tomorrow as planned, and we are offering passengers who are not able to fly home the opportunity to stay onboard the ship on a complimentary basis until they can connect with their charter flight.
Our UK office is working with the air charter operators to re-route the planes to either Port of Spain, Trinidad or Aruba, but we currently do not have confirmed revised flight dates or times from the charter carriers. It may be necessary to modify the ongoing itinerary to arrive at an island with major airport infrastructure once we know what day flights become operational. We would announce a revised itinerary, if necessary, on Sunday.
If passengers wish to disembark in Barbados instead of continuing onboard, we will provide information on local hotel availability. We have deployed a Princess care team to Barbados to assist affected passengers. Princess will be in touch with inbound passengers about their revised flight schedules and itinerary when the details are available.
