The cruise scheduled to depart today was cancelled at the last minute due to technical problems with one of the propulsion systems. The cruise scheduled for May 26 is expected to sail as planned. Passengers received a full refund plus a 25% discount on a future cruise.

Yes Flo, especially those who had to fly from distant lands to meet the ship, then, at the last moment, vacation is over before it's started. This is one of the things that you can't help, as the ship is powered by a machine which can break at anytime, but it sure is a huge disappointment.
How awful for everyone. Feel so bad for those people who probably get only one vacation a year and have saved for that special cruise. Hopefully that will be the only cruise affected.

I feel bad too. I once did have my first vacation at my first full time job ruined by a natural disaster so I understand. It must be doubly hard when it involves travelling to a far off place as many of these passengers were planning to do.
