IMHO the compensation offered sucks.

Check this:

On May 4, Celebrity Cruises issued press releases announcing the launch of its new deluxe cruise line. The ship's planned departure the next day was delayed because "boxes and cartons needed to be removed and additional housekeeping and finishiong touches were required. The ship was scheduled for a 7 day Bermuda cruise from Cape Liberty in Bayonne (NJ), but departure was deferred until May 6 because of an "intensive remodeling delay". (See www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=2041) Passenger who flew in to join the ship were accommodated overnight in hotels, and the line paid for parking for those who drove. All passengers reportedly received a full refund plus a $100 onboard credit.
