I have agreed to go with my friend on the Sea Princess next year. This will be my first cruise on Princess. I have sailed on Carnival and HAL, and am a Diamond C & A member with Royal Caribbean. We have stateroom B404. Can anyone tell me how that compares to RCI. D1, JS, E1 or ?? It is a balcony stateroom. I don't have a Princess brochure to compare room sizes etc, so anyone that knows please clue me in.

Well I haven't been on the Sea but have ben on her sister ship the Dawn. But still The Balcony cabins on Princess are smaller than D1 on RCI. No room for a couch at all. The mini suites on Princess are like D1 on RCI. I'll find a pic for you of the cabin I had on the Dawn. With Princess there is no difference in size for balcony cabins just location when price is a factor.

I was on the Sea in 2002, a great ship. We just had an outside room. Have also been on the Ocean and the Sun (her sister ships). I like the design of those ships, a really nice size, I think. Had my second cruise on the Sun last Dec with a balcony. Size was just fine for us, 2 chairs and a table, very enjoyable. No lounge chair but when I really want to lounge I want to be up top by the pool. Sure don't want to spend all my time in the room. JMO
Have another booked on the Sun for Jan 2007. I not only love that class of ship but I really love Princess,

I think Princess, RCI, and Celebrity are all pretty similar.
