Did you get your pre-cruise docs yet? I posted a link to a CNN news article about the threat from Chavez about oil on our other message board. I found another cruise forum site. cruisebuggie.com Put a www. in front of that. Anyways, on that site I found out information of best places for a sailaway party on the Sun class of ships & our group is "right on." They suggested aft on the Lido deck near the bar & if it rains moving the party down to the Wheelhouse bar on the Promenade Deck. They say its pretty deserted there & the group can put the chairs in a circle & there is good service there, also. Are you planning to join us for at least one Meet & Mingle? It would be great to meet you after all this chatting.

Time is drawing near. We have our pre-cruise package. Winter weather makes the trip even more appealing.

Hi All,

We just joined this forum and are wondering if anyone is doing the Sea Princess
14 day starting on April 1st to15th out of Barbados? It appears that most of you are embarking in Fort Lauderdale on the 8th of April. Just a little over a month to go now. Looking forward to it.

Hi Paul & Nancy, Well you'll be on board with us from the 8th to the 15th. You should join our huge roll call on the other board, also (cruise critic dot com). We are Santa & Bob. A lot of us have ordered T-shirts that say S.P.I.C.E.S. 2006 which stands for Sea Princess Island Cruise Easter Season. And on the 8th we'll be meeting on the Lido deck, very aft by the sundowners Bar near the hot tub. Just look for some of us with those white t-shirts and spice jars. (Not everyone has them). We also have a 2nd meet & greet on April 9th at 5 p.m. (after Princess Cays) in the Wheelhouse Bar on Promenade Deck where we plan to get acquainted. Then we have a breakfast get together planned for Monday, April 10th. We plan to meet at 8:30 a.m. outside the dining room serving breakfast & then go in together. That evening we have another social planned (As you can see we are a friendly social group). We're going to meet around 5-5:15 p.m. midship on Promenade deck near the RazzMTazz & just head to the atrium railing to watch the Captain's introductions & enjoy the complementary cocktails. We also have some independent tours. Anyways, you are invited to join us at any of those & to join that message board, too. We have a lot of people in our group who are from Canada.

I look forward to chatting with you two & also Joyce & Bob on this board.

Have you been on Princess before?

Hi Paul & Nancy,
Welcome aboard! We look forward to meeting you. This will be our first Princess cruise.......we've heard lots of good things about Princess and really are looking forward to our fourteen day R&R! We have enjoyed this forum for the past year. We've gotten lots of good information and hints! Cruise Critics is another great forum and somewhat busier with lots of helpful info. We enjoy being a part of both! Scampi (Santa) is remarkable in the way she organizes and makes everyone feel so welcome! When I log on to Cruise Critics.com automatically I think of Scampi! She is great! ~Joyce~

Thanks Joyce. Paul & Nancy did you get your tickets (your travel documents) yet? What about you Bob & Joyce? We received ours today in the mail & it's just as exciting as ever. Especially because they are error free. No upgrades but I wasn't expecting one. We're just glad we have a cabin on the Sea Princess. Talk to you later & it won't be long & we'll be boarding the ship!!!Are you packed yet?

Good Morning Santa,
No, we have not received our docs yet but we are anxiously awaiting the mail each day in hopes they will arrive!! It's hard to believe that we can finally say that we will be going on our cruise NEXT MONTH!! It seemed so far away and all of a sudden it is almost here. I haven't started packing yet, but it won't be long before I'll be in a frenzy and panic over the packing ordeal! HA How about you, Santa, have you started packing?? I can tell from all your posts how organized you are, so I bet you have everything down pat!! I always end up taking way too much! I would like to think I won't be doing that this time! Will chat again later. Have a a beautiful day. It is suppose to be 70 to 72 degrees here today and sunny! It can't get much better than that. ~Joyce~

Hi Bob & Joyce & Scampi,

We received our documents sometime ago. A friend of ours is a travel agent for CruiseShip Centres, who we booked with and had the docs couriered. As our air travel was booked separately we are still awaiting our air tix to Barbados. Alas, no upgrades for us either, but we are still hopeful. We are in category DD outside/oceanview and hope to be bumped to a balcony cabin. May not know until we arrive.

We just learned yesterday that our two friends Pat & Paul who we are traveling with, have moved up their wedding plans, and now plan to get married onboard the ship. Princess has wedding packages with the Captain officiating the ceremony which will take place in the library during a sea day. All for now!

P
