Hello Minette, thanks for the e-mail. We managed to get on with no problems.
Not sure if you realize but we are also on this cruise.
Hope Jackie will join us and the rest of the crew.

    Hi Pete

So glad you finally found this site. I haven't forgotten that you're on the cruise. How could I. Don't you just love all these smilies.

This will be a great place to chat, if the other site is down.

Thanks so much! We can't wait to get onboard.

Listen to this....I got an email invitation from Princess yesterday, to come to a luncheon aboard the Golden Princess, a week after our cruise. I already RSVP'd. It's for 3 hrs. I'll have to tell everyone about it, after I attend.

My computer just freaked and I lost my response here. Anyway, hubby and I were discussing going on the Sea Princess for Xmas of '06 but the eight straight ports might be a stumbling block. Yes, I know we can skip some.

My question for you folks is: Why did you pick this cruise? The ship, the iternary (I'm sure this may be spelled wrong: my bad), the date/route????

    Thanks.

    Hi Patty

Our reasons for choosing this particular cruise were:

We wanted to be away for xmas day....never tried it before and always said we would one day.
Although we have been to the Caribbean a few times, there are some islands we haven't visited on this itinerary.
Not put off by the 8 straight ports, though a break in between would have been nice, as you can do an excursion am and sunbathe pm.
We haven't tried Princess Line before and Sally likes the idea of being able to dress-up for dinner. Here we had the option....fixed or anytime dining....we chose fixed.
We chose Sea Princess because they did the dates we want, the area we want and the ship wasn't too small or too large.

    Hope this helps.

thanks for your reply. I have a feeling, hubby wants to wait to see how we handle five ports in a row on our next cruise. Maybe he'll enjoy the holiday cruise so much, he'll want to book this one next year. I know he was wanted to try a new route and we haven't done the Southern Caribbean which is where the Sea Princess will be going Christmas '06.

We are going on her in April. Send back pictures. She sound like a perfect size ship and we do so love the eastern and southern Caribbean.

    Happy Cruising!
