    Barbados Dive / Snorkel info

    From the intro on
    http://barbados-guide.info/activities/diving.and.snorkeling/

The crystal clear waters off the white sand beaches of Barbados are perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving, with visibility between 80 to 98 feet for most of the year.

More than two dozen dive sites sit between the western and southern coasts of Barbados. This is great news for active travelers who want to get in a little underwater adventure during their Caribbean vacation. Also, the calm waters along the western coastline are perfect for snorkeling, so you don't have to go far beneath the waves to explore the amazing ocean terrain that is home to unique ocean life such as flat coral reefs, sea fans, barrel sponges, an array of tropical fish species, and much more.

The above site mentions several spots on the west coast.

Access Barbados is another website that has diving and snorkeling information for visistors to the island.

Barbados south and west coast offers the turquoise blue water of the Caribbean seas, a complete aquatic playground for all watersport activities. From scuba diving the reefs and exploring the numerous ship wrecks, snorkeling with the turtles, to the speed and thrill of Jet Skiing, the highs of Parasailing or simply lazing on the sun deck of a sailing catamaran. There’s so much choice you never have to leave the cool crystal clear waters.
This site also lists a number of sources for water related excursions.

The water was quite murky the day we were in Barbados. Very stirred up from rough seas. I'm told that is not normal, and am anxious to go back. But alas, nothing booked that includes Barbados right now.

Bill, would you please tell me, in detail, how you get the You Tube directly here and not just the link?

    Thank you

So glad to see that video. Thanks, Zy!
That's the excursion I did when we were there . . . but, as I mentioned, it was a murky water day. I saw more of the turtles in your video that I did that day in Barbados. Sure wish the water had been nicer that day.

I don't post the whole URL, just the video id.
