Thread: Snorkel Tours on Belize and/or Roatan

For those of you who have snorkeled in Belize/Roatan, which areas are the best to see colorful coral and fish and perhaps see a dolphin, stingray, baracuda etc.

I have heard about Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley and they sound wonderful! Are there any other sites that are particularily good?

In Roatan I have heard that West Bay and Tayana are good for snorkeling but would like more information.

Roatan's Half Moon Beach isn't bad, either. You have to swim out of the shallows, but, once you get out, there is a sheer drop that is pretty cool.

I have also recently heard that at Roatan's West Bay, there is great snorkeling right off the beach where the reef is even closer to shore.
Roatan, it sounds like, has access to great snorkeling in many locations around the Island.
