Unfortunately, I've not yet snorkeled in some of the places mentioned. Someday maybe I will be lucky enough to have snorkeled them all! But for variety of fish and pristine marine vegetation, my vote is Bonaire!

My vote ... DePalm Island ... is somewhat qualified!

It gets my vote because it is so EASY! It's a DreamComeTrue for the first time snorkeler! Anyone who can walk down the stairs of a swimming pool at home WILL (not may, WILL) see beautiful Blue Parrot Fish along with many colorful others. Here's our report if interested:

For the more experienced snorkeler in Aruba ... that WWII ship wreck is worth seeing. Amazing how clear the water was and how it was possible to see the details of this ship on the ocean's floor from just snorkeling.
    LuLu ...
    Visit SOUTH CAROLINA!

Lulu- You are absolutely right!! The area near the lighthouse on Aruba that has the German WWII wreck is truly phenomenal, and my recommendation for best snorkeling on Aruba!!
I took the Pirates cruise, expected it to be corny, but had a really great time!! So much so I hope to return next November!!

I voted for the Champagne snorkel in Dominica but I haven't snorkeled any of the other spots!! The snorkel in Dominica over the underground volcano was just so unique!! My second choice in the Southern Caribbean would be Barbados.

    Good morning,

I voted for the Champagne snorkel in Dominica. I felt it was the most unique experience and it was absolutely wonderful. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
