I've done the Bioluminesce kayak trip with Carnival and thought it was fabulous. Its quite a magical experience to travel through the river at night with shiny drops of water flying everywhere and very difficult to explain the beauty. It is a long drive there and back but I thought it was well worth it. '

Restaurant wise I am also a massive fan of some San Juan restaurants - its hard to go past Marmalade for a special meal, Dragonfly for a taste of Asia and for some traditional home grown Puerto Rican cuisine Mofongo.
