It stops at 7pm, 7 days a week.
Thanks for asking the question. We are heading there in a couple months and I was not aware of the trolley.
It has 3 different routes that you can hop on and off along the way. Years ago we hiked up to El Morro a couple times. It is nice to know that we can get a ride up and then take a walking tour going downhill.
There is more information on the routes at thier website

Thanks for the link, John!We will be in San Juan in September and this is something we might be interested in doing.
Thanks, Bliz! Great site!
I'd told my friends who can't walk long distances to use it ... and then realized thatI didn't want to leave them stuck someplace in San Juan ... and to plan to either get to the last trolley or take a taxi back to the ship.
Char, we took the trolley once and it's not bad at all. Like, John, we took it (uphill) and then walked back to the ship. You and Bob might want to give it a try. I'd love to know how you liked it for a "round trip".

I found what looks like a very nice walking tour on that site. It looks like if you take the trolley up to the fort and follow the tour from there, it is downhill back to the pier area.

These are the 2 with AC.
City Hall Route
The trolley used for this route is enclosed and air-conditioned. It travels around the main shopping area of Old San Juan, including Calles Tanaca, San Francisco, Fortaleza, Recinto Sur, and then swings around by the Casita before heading back to trolley stop 1. It hits these stops in this order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 , 10, 11, 15, 16, 3, 12, 13, 14.
City Hall / El Morro Route
The trolley used for this route is also enclosed and air-conditioned. It travels around the main shopping area of Old San Juan, including Calles Tanca, San Francisco, Fortaleza, and then heads up past Fort San Cristobal, along the ocean on Calle Norzagaray, then on to El Morro. After turning around at El Morro, it retraces it’s path back to Calle San Francisco, back down Forteleza to Recinto Sur, and then swings around by the Casita before heading back to trolley stop 1. It’s a combination of the City Hall route and the El Morro route, and stops at all the same trolley stops, including numbers 6 and 7.
