Awesome Excellent site, Thanks for posting
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Walking around Old San Juan is the best way to immerse yourself in its timeless beauty and charm. Even the most determined tourist can't cover all there is to see and do here in one day; among the more celebrated monuments and memorials are countless small wonders that will tempt the historian the shopper, the diner, and the curious child in you.
This walking tour covers the major points of interest, focusing on the historic buildings that make up the character of the old city. How long the tour takes will depend on how much time you want to devote to each stop, but you should be able to cover it all in one day. If you don't want to walk, there are free trolleys that you can pick up at various points in the city that cover all of these stops. But I'd recommend trying a tour guide. The only way

Walking the Old San Juan is the only way to see it.

Ok, the bus tours also aren't that bad but we prefer Walking.

Thanks for posting this! Those "Food Tours" were new to me. Doing the one on Thanksgiving Day would be a HOOT!

Ten things to do in old San Juan , Puerto Rico

During the high tourism season thousands of cruise ship passengers disembark into the old city.
Some of these people take a tour, while others walk around with a map.
Well if you want to get a taste of this charming old city, here are a few of my favorite things.

One...a complimentary rum drink at the Don Q rum store, is a must for those who know their rum. Once there ask about the house special. This is right in front of pier # 2
Two...a cup of coffee at CAFE COLAO, at pier # 2. They have gourmet coffee.
Three… A drink of Mavi at pier # 1. There is a vendor who has this tropical drink inside a large wooden barrel, you can not miss it.

Four..a fritter. Next to the mavi place is the fritter vendor. Try an alcapurria.
Five.. if your looking for local handcraft from the local artisans, pier #1 is the place.
    Now don’t go too far.
Six.. Local candy like sesame lollipos, coconut candy and more at at PLaza Darsenas

Seven.. Coconut water at the SJ food court at Plaza Colon. The locals say that it is good for the kidneys
Eight.. A "piragua" shaved ice with tropical syrup, can be found in many spots
Nine... Mofongo (a mashed-plantain dish) at Cafe Puerto Rico also at Plaza Colon.
Ten... and my favorite thing in old San Juan is singing salsa with the local tour guides
