We are sailing out of San Juan in Feb on Caribbean Princess. The two previous sailings we have made out of San Juan have been from Pier 4 so I have a couple of questions regarding the Pan American terminal.

1. In the past we never had a problem buying liquor from the duty free store and, as long as it is out of sight of the security, not have it confiscated it before boarding the ship. Is it the same in the Pan American terminal?

2. We want to drop our bags off at the terminal and then go to the bacardi factory. Is there a place where we can check our bags (prior to the ship's boarding time) at the terminal or do we have to go over by Peir 4 and check them there. We were going to take the ferry over to the other side and catch a cab to the bacardi factory.

3. I assume there is not a lot to do at the Pan American terminal. Is this the case?
