Help Victor,

Last November I purchased a handpainted tshirt from a shop in OLd SAN JUAN that was on hilly st. , not far from the cruise pier. It was a well maintained shop. Clothing folded neatly and organized. Baseball caps and cigars were sold there and it had the feel of a gentlemen's store. The tshirt was white with all kinds of Puerto Rican memories..the frog, the rainforrests etc.. My 90 year old mother-in-law has worned it out and asked for another one for her birthday. Do you know where I got this shirt or where they are sold? The quality and artwork are good. I really want to find this shirt when I am there next month. Thank you for your time.

Oh, thank you so much, Victor. If I was walking towards the pier the store would be on the left side of the street. I wish I had saved their business card.

While I have your ear any recommended places to go for dinner and entertaiment on a Sunday Night..11/18. I know most clubs don't start going until after 10 but that's a little too late for us. My sister-in-law would love to go dancing and learn a few new steps while there. Any suggestions?

Hi, Pat:

Don't know if you're aware of this place or not, but there's a store across the street from The Doll House (255 Calle Fortaleza) that sells micro-fiber tablecloths that are wonderful! I don't know the name of the place, but as I said, it's across the street from The Doll House. I've recommended it to many people and they are very happy with the quality and especially the price. We have purchased several for gifts. Prices are around $35 - $45 and include the napkins. I know you will thoroughly love them - problem is trying to decide which one to buy since there are so many different designs.

Also, inside The Doll House is The Cigar House. The old gentleman in there hand rolls his own cigars and they are great! If Ed enjoys the occasional cigar, I highly recommend this place.

Pete--need to check my Christmas list on the table cloths. The cigar man sounds great for my brothers. Ed doesn't do cigars. I let Pat know about the table cloths...she just might be interested.

Victor-I wish I could be more specific on that shop but it was found after shopping for a couple of hours and I did get turned around a bit. It doesn't really matter where I get the shirt but it would be nice to return the business to that shop since they were so nice.

Wow, that cafe music place sounds neat. My spanish is very limited but I think I got the idea. I didn't see anything scheduled on Sundays. They are open Sunday evenings , Right? I will copy the web site to take with me so I can show the cab driver. We are staying at Caribe Hilton. I didn't see a box to switch to Enlish on their web site but I'll do some more research on them because I think it would be a perfect spot to go to! Thank You!
