Thread: Victor - Our San Juan Answer Man

sorry I dont have the answer for that one. The best I can tell you is to walk up Fotaleza st and then tae a right on Cristo and the another right on San Francisco and you should have covered the whole shopping area.
The place I hear fro great bargains and selections is CONSUEGRA on San Franscisco street in fron of the san Francisco church.
If I hear something Ill let you know.

Victor - I am on Hanna's cruise and will be there on Tuesday, November 6th. I read somewhere that the art galleries in Old San Juan are open late the first Tuesday of the month. Is this correct? What about the shops?

I'm also looking for a good restaurant in Old San Juan for authentic local food. Any recommendations?

Ruth, you need to go with us. Victor is going to take us to get authentic PR food and also a mystery tour.

If Ii were on the freedom too, I'd go with you in a m inute.

I would love to but I promised myself I would go to the fort and I really need to do some shopping. This was the one port we missed on my family cruise 2 years ago so I want to pick up a little something for everyone here. Cigars for my brother and brother-in-law, Santos (carved saints) for Dad, Masks for at least one sister, and miscellaneous stuff for all the others. I also promised to send postcards from here. I will need to go to the fort right away so it doesn't close and then shopping before all the shops close. I figure I can stroll and relax after the shops close at 6.
