Old San Juan has wonderful places to go. If you like museums, nice stores and the beauty of the streets, you will enjoy it. I think not only in San Juan, lots of places in the world are places not too good and need to take care of yourself... San Juan has lots of historical places to see, of course, don't forget to eat a "Piragua", stop in Hard Rock Cafe to buy a souvenir, and if you have a little of time, go to "El Morro" to see the castle or fly a kite!
Enjoy that beautiful city!!! Welcome & "Puerto Rico does it Better"

I am pretty sure RCL will use the new American Pier, a 10 - 15 minute cab ride to Old Saun Juan. Defineatly hit the Old Forts, very interesting....

By the way, did you know that El Morro was called Fort Brooke from the 40's to 1966?, Fascinating, really:headbang2

A bit of warning. Old San Juan has hills and there is a lot of up and down movement to get anywhere. But the hills really lend a great deal of charm to the houses. If you have been to San Francisco, you get the idea (but with a Hispanic flair).

I loved the blue cobblestone streets...and the beautiful cathedral...it is such a charming place, with a sophisticated flair but quaint, all at once. Have fun!!

Wink San Juan, A lot to do!

Few hours is not enought to see everything in the Old San Juan. Maybe next time you can see more. Good places to see, La Fortaleza (Santa Catalina Castle) normally has visiting hours. That place is the house of the governor. Hotel El Convento and in front, La Catedral (Big Church) at Calle del Cristo. In the same street you can find some good stores like COACH, Tommy Hilfiger, and some more. Your can see El Morro Castle, Plaza de Armas, Calle San Sebastian and Paseo La Princesa... Señor Frogs or Hard Rock Cafe is cool to lunch and listen easy music.

There is lot of good places to see. San Juan is very nice!
