*Meet the Artist: Gu-zheng Music Explained – A lecture/demonstration by Weishan Liu, one of the world's leading virtuosos of gu-zheng (or Chinese zither). Ms. Liu and her students will demonstrate different gu-zheng playing techniques. Anyone from the audience is welcome to join in and play the instrument. This educational series is intended to give the Bay Area audience an opportunity to form a deeper understanding of Chinese music and performing arts, and to meet some accomplished artists "up close and personal."
